Write about a time when you did something out of the norm. What was it and how did others react?

Prompt Response: When I joined wrestling at Lakeside High School. I didn't know the club existed until the end of my freshman year. I remember the last day of school there was an announcement calling those who are interested in wrestling to show up to Coach Moore's room. I asked my friend if I should as a joke, and he laughed yes. I went partly as a joke. I ended up spending countless hours in that wrestling room, and making unforgettable memories with great friends.

Summary: I arrived late to class but we read the poem "I'm Nobody! Who are you?" by Emily Dickinson. After we analyzed the text and answered some questions. My response to the "Who are you?" . . ."I am a 18 year old high school student getting ready to apply to college to seek an opportunity at making my own life.

Reflection: Poetry is an odd thing because at first its like reading another language but once you understand it beautiful. I enjoy the median despite my lack of proficiency with it. Plus the now daily self reflection this class causes me is interesting.

Prompt: Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
