After hearing your classmates’ story map presentations, choose one classmate’s story that stood out to you. Write about what you liked or learned from their journey and explain why it was meaningful to you.

Prompt Response: One story that stood out to me was Orion’s story. What I liked was how they developed their relationship with their mother in their teenage years. It was nice to see them grow closer with time and realize they have more in common than they think.

Summary: In class we presented our story map presentations. If you weren’t presenting you were listening to each other’s story maps.

Reflection: It was strange seeing how my relationship with my parents had kinda an opposite growth to my classmates' relationships with their parents. I realized I’d never quite be close with them again as long as we couldn’t see eye to eye. While others grew closer because of their realizations they are more similar than they think plus just growing up.

Prompt: Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
