Prompt: Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt Response: When my coach said I was an valuable part of the team. When I was talking about quitting in between my Junior and sophomore year his words stuck to me. To be praised in such a regard like that was something special to me. Those words still echo in my thoughts when I think about quitting the team. They help me keep on track.

Summary: In class we presented our posters and listened to others present. Along with turn in our blue character sheet for the character in the book we covered.

Reflection:  Finding motivation is always a hard thing to do. Whenever I go to practice the thought always crosses my mind at least once to quit. I never do. Wrestling is the most physically and perhaps the most mentally demanding thing I've done yet I keep doing it. Sometimes its hard to tell whether I keep doing it out of stubbornness or if its more that I feel I belong there. It probably switches between days.

Prompt: Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
