Prompt: Describe a time when you couldn’t stop laughing.

Prompt response: When I learned my sister had become celiac I was warned before hand and heard she was taking it hard. When I got home she gave me this look of don’t you dare make a joke and I did make a joke in response. I understand what it was like since I was a diabetic. I welcomed her to the club. Before long she and I were dying of laughter while our mom stood in horror.

Summary: In class we finished our one pager, and worked on this blog post.

Reflection: Sometimes people just need to laugh to get through traumatic things. Joy and laughter in the right context and person can be the best cure.

Prompt: Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

In "The Lamb" and "The Tyger", both poems suggest that beauty and danger can come from the same source. Describe a time when something or someone you admired also scared or challenged you. How did that experience change the way you see the world or the idea of “goodness”?
